Neustein Urban at 30, Other Architects at 2

We celebrate two milestones on 18 October: the 30th anniversary of Neustein Urban and the 2nd anniversary of Other Architects. In 1984 Michael Neustein established Neustein & Associates. The office has gradually evolved from an integrated architecture and urban planning office into a highly specialised consultancy responsible for advising on major developments, preparing development control plans for metropolitan and regional councils, assisting architectural offices in gaining approvals, disseminating knowledge and delivering expert Land and Environment Court evidence.

Two years ago, Michael joined with David Neustein to establish Other Architects. This new venture thrives on generational exchange between its two directors, drawing on Michael’s extensive experience as an architect and planner and David’s analytical and unorthodox design approach.

Neustein Urban and Other Architects now work in close proximity. The two offices have successfully collaborated in securing approval for unconventional projects, exploring challenging feasibility studies and pursuing research into new modes of housing and urban design. We are proud to mark this shared anniversary and to once again offer integrated architecture and urban planning, providing a platform for a streamlined design and development approval process.
